According to reports, his wife Kumudha was also undergoing treatment for COVID-19 and is currently in the ICU. Popular actor Pandu, known for his roles as a comedian in many films, passed away during the early hours of today. He was 74 years old and breathed his last during today’s morning without response to treatment. Actor Pandu will be taken directly from the hospital to the crematorium and the final ritual will take place at the Besant Nagar crematorium.

Pandu and his wife Kumudha, who recently tested positive for Covid-19, were undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Chennai. His wife continues to live in the ICU. He later starred alongside Rajinikanth, Vijay, Ajith, and many other stars in Tamil cinema when he made his Tamil film ‘Karaiyallam Shenmabappu’. Pandu is best known for his role as a police officer in the Ajith Kumar-starrer film K Kadhal Kottai and Vijay-starrer film Gul Gali. He was last seen in ‘Indra Nilayam Marum’, with Ashwin Kumar, Ramkumar, and Nivedita Satish in the lead roles. Pandu successfully ran a company called Capital Letters and had beautifully designed name boards in the residences and offices of many prominent film personalities.
